From college man to “Old Abe”.was the change made in Gene
Moulten, Kent State University sophomore, when Prof. E. L. Novotny
of the department of art and Harold Hansen, director of the stage of
the University theatre faculty, finished hjs makeup for the lead in "Abe
Lincoln in Illinois”, presented at Kent.
Considered a natural for the part by Prof. E. Turner Stump, chair
man of the school of speech at Kent State, Moulten was the big reason
why the university theatre.ventured the difficult play, Kent State Photos
