Junior Majors Win
60-28 Over "41 Six .
Junior majors went to town on
White Hall's basketball floor last
.night when they snowed under a
plucky senior squad, 60-28, in the
highest scoring battle yet in the
books. Dotty Radcliffe and Betty
Widger, sharpshooting forwards,
tied for top honors with 28 points,
to equal the '4l team's total score.
Pat Patton accounted for the other
two goals.
This smooth-working trio was
backed by the strong defensive
guarding of Bea Baumunk, Bernie
Maurer,- and Dottie Wagner, who
time and again bottled up the sen
ior's scoring threats. Sally Faber
and Gertie Hellmers set the pace
for the senior six, converting five
goals each.
A clean contest, marked by only
three fouls featured the scoring
spree. Half-time score was 32-8,
favoring the third-year coeds, who
carn.e•back in the second half and
nearly doubled their efforts,

ODE TO 1941
Let's weep a tear
In• our root beer
For 1941
•
We had our chance
But just like France
The battle was not won
He ran too fast
And we were last
In 1941.
Leap year escaped-
While we just gaped
And thought it all was fun
But now we've found
That we are bound
In 1941
To be a dreamer and a bore
And wait for leap year '44.
