THE DAILY COLTYGIAN lagers Impressive In Colgate Win It was a story, of a good basket ball team against a poor basket ball team as the non passers took it comparatively easy -to trounce Colgate, 35-21, in Rec Hall Satur day night. The same type of ball will al most make State victory No. 3 cer tain as the Nittany passers meet Susquehanna on the local floor at 8 p. m. tomorrow. Even in rolling up their decisive margin of 14 points over the Red Raiders, however, the State court men weren't too impressive in the matter of shooting. Their plays worked better than in either of the two previous games but only about one out of foufshots—most ly close ones, at that—connected. Captain Johnny Barr looked better than at any other time this season as he led the scoring with 10 points. Herky Baltimore, soph omore flash, continued his good work by netting four goals and a. single foul for nine points. Coach John Lawther's proteges opened up by scoring seven points before the visitors broke the ice eight minutes after the start of play. The first half was nip -and tuck with the halftime score, 14- 12, in favor of State. The Nittany passers came back strong in the second half to com pletely outplay the Red Raiders and coasted to an easy victory. All 10 players on the Lion game squad saw action in the closing minutes.
