PKA Plans Party
Al Woodycresi
Sponsored by members of the
Community Service-Committee of
the PSCA, a Christmas party will
be held for the children of
Woodycrest Saturday morning,
December 14.
The party will take on all the
airs of typical Yuletide spirit. A
large Christmas tree will serve as
the center of • attraction for• the
young guests, presents will be ex
changed, and songs, - games and
refreshments will round out the
holiday program.
Held in conjunction with the
Christmas party will be a book
drive that is to be conducted
jointly by the PSCA Community
Service Committee and the Young
Peoples' Bible Class of the State
College Reformed Church. The
purpose of the drive is to canvass
for children's books which will
then be used as Christmas pres
ents for the party or placed in the
children's library at the Woody
crest United Brethren Church.
In charge of the 'book drive is
Betty L. Schaeffer '44 and Miss
Elizabeth C. Bell, assistant to the
dean of women.

Red, White And Blue
Used In Men's Clothes
Colors change with the times,
and conscription and record en
listments in both the Army and
Navy have made red, white, and
blue favorites -in men's accessor
ies. It is a trend which started
last summer and is increasing with
such rapidity - that spring will ste
these colors rampant on most cam
puses.
There are red and blue: striped
suspenders; red, white, and blue
ties in stripes and designs; and
handkerchiefs, .garters, pajamas
and shirts that have become na
tionalistic overnight. Some of the
new shirts are blue with a small
red and white strip, others white
with blue and red stripes, and all
of them styled with 'taste and a
conservativeness that prevents
them from looking like a_ flag drap
ed over the shoulders. -
The Americana idea may go
even further with the combination
of red and blue in suitings.
