Miles Street Dormitory
To Have Christmas Dance
The Miles Street women's dor
mitory is planning a Christmas
dance to be held Saturday. De
cember 14: when each woman
will be permited to invite one
other couple.
The committees are decoration.

Drydock May Have
Special Yule Program
Drydock night club is making
tentative plans to follow last year's
precedent in presenting a special
Christmas program, probably Sat
urday night, December 4.
Last year's program featured, in
addition to the regular program,
a Santa Claus who led students in
celebrating " Christmas and who
distributed gifts.
Tomorrow, the night club will
have its usual weekly program in

Christmas comes only once a
year and with it comes an annual
worry—what to give. One of the
biggest worries along this line, at
least for Betty Coed, is what to
give Joe College but, this year,
that's one problem that the State
College stores seem to have solv

pecially Loafers, a versatile bit
of footwear which can be worn
either in the house or outdoors.

. . . don't laugh at this suggestion
for men really appreciate these
things if they're chosen wisely .

especially in the newer colors and
fabrics . . Argyle socks and in
itialed handkerchiefs are always
popular.

Plans for a freshman Christ
mas dance to be held in the Old
Main Sandwich Shop at 8:30 p.
m. Friday, December 20, are
rapidly taking shape, according to.
Fred L. Gocidman '44, chairman•
of the freshman entertainment
committee of the PSCA.
The•dance will - be informal. and
open to freshmen men and lko
men only. In keeping with the
'44 spirit of the affair, a freshman
band organized at the Beaver
House will provide the music.
