Eppright Breaks Fresh
Cross-Country Recoril
Bill Eppright, freshman cross
country star, gave indication of
what might be expected of him in
the way of filling Bill Smith's
shoes by smashing the freshman
cross-country record by 11 seconds
in freshman three-mile time trials
yesterday.. Eppright's time was
15:22; the old record was 15:33. '
Tink Candy came within 5.5 sec
onds of tieing the record with his
time of 15:38.5. Charlie Hobbs
placed ,third •in the time trials with
15:45.
