His team. won seven, losing only to Dartmouth, and' he was chosen on the first AIL-Amer ican team. In 1920 Higgins- became head football' coach, at West Virginia Wesleyan. Ih 1921 he joined the Canton Bulldogs as player-coach. He returned to Wesleyan in 1922. and his team won eight games of a difficult 10-game schedule. In 1924' the Bobcats won nine out of IT encounters. The next year Higgins went to Washington University in St. Louis.
