ed that "nothing new" had been
uncovered within the last 24
hours
Annich immediately pointed out
that this did not mean that the
police were entirely "in the dark,"
with nothing to work on. He said
that the department did not wish
to release any statement until
facts were definitely established.

WPA Recreation Training
School To Open Monday
The WPA Recreation naming School,, which will draw WPA
playground directors from throughout the state, will get under way
here Monday and continue until April 20.
The annual tour will take the
singers to Lancaster Monday,
Wilmington (Delaware) Tuesday,
Philadelphia Wednesday, an d
then to Fred Waring's_radio In
gram and a concert in NewYork'
Thursday.
Tom is one of the original mem
bers of Waring's Pennsylva
sans. Although he left his broth
er's outfit several years ago to
pursue a career in concert sing
ing, he again is featured in the fa
mous Waring arrangements with
the renowned glee club
Sammy Gallu recently sang
with Waring -in an Easter ora
torio
Included in the repertoire of
the Glee Club this year is one of
Tom's compositions, "Jonah " Al
so included. during the trip will
be a new composition by Tom,
"Blades of Grass" which was
adapted from the poem by Ste
phen Crane. - It will-be sung- by

track candidates ran on cinders

year, the varsity practicing strenu
