tramural BADMINTON tourna
ments was played off last Monday
when Athei ton East picked up a
neat 5-1 win over the AEPhis. In
the other matches, Atherton East
fought to a 3-3 deadlock with Phi
lotes, Mac-Grange swamped the
Thetas 6-0 and tied Atherton Frosh
3-3, Delta Gams downed Atherton
West 5-1, Philotes battled the
AEPhis to a hard-fought 4-2 win;
and Atherton West beat the Chi
O's 5-1
Tonight's the night to show
what you can do in a VOLLEY
BALL. game It's playmght in
White Hall at 8 p m, and the ten
tative list of eight teams includes
the Thetas, Delta Gains, AEPhis,
Chi Os, Kappas, AOPis, Atherton

During the first week of intra
mural PING-PONG. the ZTAs de
feated the Gamma Phis 8-0 and
the Delta Gams 6-2, the Thetas de
feated the Mac Hall-Grange team
8-0 and tied the AOPIs 4-4, the
Kappas defeated the AEPhis , 5-3
and the Chi Os 6-2, Atherton East
defeated Atherton West 5-3, the
Delta Gams defeated Mac-Grange

cessful Saturday afternoon as the

Yale, 12-9, at Paul Whitney Gym
nasium, New Haven
The locals, utilizing a fast piv
oting offense, took the lead early

ed throughout the contest It was
a close battle all the way, but su
perior stick-handling gave the

week, with 42 fraternity bouts run
off up to Sunday night
Thirteen cage teams, nine fra
ternity and four independent, were
crowned champs of their sectional
leagues late last week, and quartet
finals and some 'semi-finals were
wound up Sunday and yesterday
