entering its fifth month of existence, American college stu
dents, in a national poll conducted by the Student Opinion
Sm veys of Amei ica, have registered a highly optimistic view
that the United States can stay out of the conflict

the Student Opinion Surveys,
which weekly report campus senti
ment for the Penn State Collegian
and the other leading college
nonspapeis of the nation. These
polls are all taken by means of a
carefully =selected cross section
that extends from Maine to Cali

the United States can stay out of

ulation, it is important to know
