Formulated Last May
With the acceptance of a new constitution for the Penn r
sylvama State College Student Government Association late
last year, the dawn of a new era in student democracy on this
campus was begun.
This year marks the first attempt at the new student
government which developed out of a complete reorganiza
tion of the constitution of the Men’s Student Government.
No longer do two governments
(xist side by bide, namely the
Men’s and the Women’s All cam
pus groups have been brought into
one student government headed by
the All-College President and the
All-College Vice-Piesident
McWilliams, Shirm Hold Office
H Cifton McWilliams ’4O, and
Sarabell Shirm ’4O won these res
pective offices running on the In
dependent ticket in the initial all-
College elections last May
Under the new constitution, the
separate governments of men and
women students, the various school
councils, fraternity and independ
ent mcr’s and women’s oigamza
hnns Student‘Tribunal, and ac
tivities groups were all brought
into the All-College Cabinet
The Cabinet serves as the legis
lative body and is supreme in the
government
A governing council has been set
up 1 in each school of the College,
