THE PENN STATE COLLEGIAN
THE Trips TUO, 6-0,
On , Last-Period Pass
A 30-yard pass from Bill Filer to
Woodward Welch late in 'the second
period gave Theta Nu Epsilon a 6-0
victory over Theta Upsilon Omega
Wednesday night. ,
On two other occasions, THE un
corked apparent scoring thrusts, but
an ankle-deep mud bogged down the
attack. Early in the game, Filer peg
ged a 35-yard pass to John Player on
the enemi,ls, but the muddy oval
skimmed over his fingers. Late in the
second period, Billy Souse snared an
aerial and sloshed to the 15, but the
gain was disallowed by an official rul
ing, claiming the bull bounced off the
mire into Souse's hands.
