Mr. Ches ter presented the viewpoints of the modern girl at the New York Herald- Tribune Forum last week. Although she considers' marriage less important than her mother did, Miss 1937 is willing to start married life cn $25.00 a week, planning for two children. She is interested in polities and inclined to be a conser vative. From the general trend of dormi tory conversations, our opinions cor relate with the 1937 girl in her, ideas on marriage, but our interest in pol itics seems to be confined to campus elections. How often do •ce read news papers to get opinions on bow the political parties are operating? :Most of us confine our reading to the fun ny papers. Let us erase the stigma .of being below the par of Mr. Colby's typical girl and find out what is happening outside our realm of May Queens and dates by reading an occasional front page and editorial. b"" ,4*(' ilder.
