Pi Kappa Phi Wins '37
IM Debating Contest
In the finals of the Intramural Dis
cussion Contest held on Thursday, Pi
Kappa Phi defeated Beta Sigma Rho
to win' the two caps offered by the
Forensic Council and Delta Sigma
Rho, honorary debating fraternity.
The contest, under the managership
of Robert A. Gans '37, is held each
year to stimulate' interest in forensics
and debating. The topic of this dis
cussion was, "Should Alcoholic Bev
erages in Addition to Beer Be Sold in
State College," the negative of which
was defended by the winning team.
Members of the winning team were
Guy C. Close, jr. '37, Charles C.
Conklin '3B, and. Lewis B. Grfibe
The judge was Prof. Joseph F. O'-
Brien, of the department of English
composition, and the chairman was
Lester M. Benjamin '37.

Bighamieaves Hospital
John' C. Bighorn, '3B, one of three
students injured in an auto accident
north of Williamsport April 7th was
recovered sufficiently to be removed
from the Williamsport Hospital yes
terday, friends of his said. It is un
derstood that Bighorn will be taken
to his home in Carnegie by his par
ents.
