Page Four Eddy Will Give Series : Of Talks Here May 1 Dr. Sherwood Eddy, noted author, lecturer, and world traveler, will *- liver a series of lectures here on May 1 under the sponsorship of the Christian Association. His first address will be to a group Of College administration officials and Christian Association directors at a luncheon gathering in the Sand wich Shop. "What Is Happening in Europe?" will• be the topic of the second lecture which will be given in the Hugh Beaver Room, 304 Old Main, at 4 o'clock, and will be open to all students. The series will close With a night address before a mass meeting in Schwab auditorium at 7:30 o'clock on the topic "Problems Of the Orient; What They Mean To Us." Shortly, after his graduation from Yale in 1891, Dr. Eddy traveled to Indio where he remained for the next fif teen 'years, working among students Of the Indian Empire. He was then called, to be Secretary for Asia for the2 . ,aational council of the Young 34*s Christian Association, and served. • in this capacity for many years among the students and offi cials of India, China, Japan, and the Near East. Through his untiring activity, his keen insight into Oriental problems, and his writing and lecturing ability, Dr. Eddy has achieved international fame, and has come to know leaders in all departments of life including Ramsay MacDonald, Bernard Shaw, Albert Einstein, and Mahatma Gan dhi. `Engineer' Names Keim Editor for Next Year David Y. Keim '36 was elected ed itor of the Penn State Engineer for 1935-36 at a meeting last Monday. Others elected to the editorial staff are Conrad H. Zierdt '36, associate editor, and Robert L. Johnson '36, as sociate editor. Stanley W. Mason '36 was elected business manager at the same meet ing. With him on the staff are Clyde R. Null '36, and Wade S. Concert To Feature American Composers Kappa Gamma Psi, honorary music fraternity, will present a program of music of late and contemporary American composers in Schwab audi torium Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'- clock. Major Wilfred 0. Thompson, College bandmaster, will conduct the orchestra. The program will open with "Crip ple Creek" and "Love Refrain" by the orchestra. Marvin L. Eschelman '35 will then sing "A Spirit Flower," "Iris," and "Who Knows?" The or chestra will follow with "Indian Sum mer" and "Pale Moon." M. Clair Swoope '37, pianist, will be accompanied by a string ensemble in presenting "A Reverie—Trauma rei" and "Cradle Song." Henry K. Beard '36 will play as organ solos, "Meditation" and "Toccata on 0 Filii et Filiae." The orchestra will conclude with "Wedding of the Winds" and "Soldiers of the Air."
