• It has been the custom. here to m
gard the LebanoriValley football team
as the weakest opponent on the Nit
tany Lion schedule. With this in mind
we were surprised at the record of the
Flying Dutchmen for the past eleven
years. In that time "Hooks" Mylin
has developed tehms which have won
thirty-six out of ninety-three games
played, tying twelve, and losing forty
five. But of the games lost, the Leb
anon Valley teams dropped thirty to
teams entirely out of their• class.
This year, Mylin handicapped by a
small squad, placed his eleven at the
top of the mythical small college
championship list, with its greatest
achievement that of holding P. M. C.
to a scoreless tie. But the Flying
Dutchmen still look back to 1927'whe'n
they defeated Brown 13-to-12.

Six players of the Columbia Univer

mythical all-opponents eleven by Lion
gridmen last night. Pennsylvania and
Syracuse were each 'represented by
'two players, while one gridman from .
Lehigh was selected_ on the.team.
Three line and three backfield po
sitions were awarded to Columbia
players. Dzamba, Ferrara, and Ma
'tat were named to the three positions
on the right side of the mythical line,
while Montgomery, captain of the
Rose Bowl tournament entrants, was
a unanimous choice for, quarterback
and Barabas and Brominski monopol
ized the halfback positions.

.Pennypacker, who scored the tying
touchdown in the Penn-Penn. State
game, was named to the left end pa

while his team-mate, Stark, was nam
ed to the fullback position. Lehigh
gained the other position, with Robin
son being, named to the left guard po
sition.
On the second team, Columbia again
had the most players selected on the
all-opponents team. Four stalwarts of
King Leo were selected, with Pennsyl
vania and Syracuse each placing three.
Muhlenberg had two men selected,
while Lehigh placed one. Out of four

Secolid team selections, however, ran
closer. Watkins, Pinckney, and' Sy

second team guard honors, while three
of the backfield positions were hotly
contested.
Select All-American Team
Captain Tisdale, Syracuse, won dot
over Mere, his team-mate, by one vote.
But the closest vote centered around
the quarterback selection. Since
Weiner, of Muhlenberg, lead Kellett,
of Pennsylvania, by only one vote and'r
other backfield selections trailed fur
in the distance, the Mules' field gen

the Quaker being moved td a 'halfback
