WESTERN INSTITUTIONS PLAN
ENGLISH DEBATING CONTESTS
Plans to send a debating team
England representing the University
of California,-the University of South
ern California, and Stanford univer
sity have been set,in motion by thej
Forensic council of the University o'
Southern California,
The team would consist of -three
men, one man representing each in
stitution. A campaign to raise funds
for the trip is in progress. British
debaters are highly in favor of the
proposed tour by the Californians.
lIAVERFORD PROFESSOR FINDS
MONSTER LIZARDS IN INDIES
A pair of lizards measuring more
than eight feet in, length have been
brought from the Dutch East Indies
by Dr. Emmet R. Dunn of Haverford
university.
Rumors of reptiles measuring as
long as thirty feet failed to material
ize, the fongest specimen seen by the
expedition attaining a length of nine
feet. The hunting party left New
York in 1926.
