All winter varieties of apples ate now being
liars esled and placed on sale by the Department of
Hoi ticulture from the College orchards. State
College grocerymen handle the best grades of hand
picked apples while all grades, including culls and
cider, apple•butter and jelly apples, can be secured
at the Fruit Packing House. The former sells at
$l.OO per bushel and the latter at 50c. The best
grade of hand picked apples retails at $2.50 per
bushel. A salesman will be at the packing house
all day during October and the first half of
