Wolfson.'29 PRESIDENT HETZEL SPEAKS Last Friday afternoon President Hetzel spoke at the girls' mass meeting In the course of the talk he stated that he was very surpris ed to find that when he called for a meeting of the Juniors and Sen iors only mei •ided. He went on to s: that he had no idea that tlic Or a of the men and women at cc ege were run on such entirely separate plans. and that he thought that the wo men were left out entirely too much. President Hetzel was right in a certain degree There should be more co-operation betwen the men and women here on the campus. After all, we're all going to the same college, and are interested in many of the same things. However, it does not seem as if it would be practicable to have the men and women under the same student government body. There are so many problems that the one has that are of no interest at all to the other Let us, as the president sug gests, try to co-operate, but let us be careful that we don't try to do something that will make a worse state of affairs than we have now Let's not give up our present sys tem until we are sure we hate better one which will work in theory as well as in practice ORGANIZATIONS RECEIVE QUOTA OF BLANKET TAX Eighteen hundred dollars leas the total amount of blanket ta•. collected from the co-eds at registration this yea.
