Additions To Extension Work
Made in Several Large
Cities of State

tension work
A new office lias been established
in the State Chamber of Commerce
Building m Harnsburg, in which
Miss Mabel Kirk, a recent addition
tc the faculty, will assist Piof. P A
Meitz, the eastern rcpiesentative of
the work
Not confining the impiovcmcnts to
one section of the state alone, the
office of the Pittsburgh Teaching
Center has been moved from the Cen
tral Y. M. C. A. Building to the lion
City college building. Mis. Ella Lo
bingici, formerly of the School of
Education in the University of Pitts
buigh, has been added to the staff to
assist in the work m that citv The
present enrollment in the Pittsburgh
Teaching Center is larger than cvei
before in the history of the school.
At the Johnstown diusion of the
work eleven classes hn\e nhcad\
been oigamzed and aic in operation
while plans aio being made foi the
oigamzation of three additional
classes Professor Green and lus as
sistants arc conducting extension
classes in Natural Scincc with large
enrollments.
So far this jeai, there has been a
great demand for extension courses
of graduate character. The depart
ment is at present conducting gradu
ate courses at Pittsburgh, Harris
burg, Altoona and Merritstown. Pluns

class in landscape architecture were

diately following the mass meeting.
The freshman reception was held
