test on December ninth, and

they represent, and who have never
been contestants in this league. The
teams will arrive here on the eighth,
and the judges, comprising tite coaches
accompanying the teams, must all agree
upon tile placing «>f a class before it

••f apples, making a total of sixty plates,
will lie selected for judging. In rank

points will be given to the correct plac

associations the Dairy Extension men
of the Dairy Husbandry Department
are striving to cheapen the cost of pro
duction of milk and produce better
duality milk. They arc cooperating with
the milk plants, creameries, and ice
cream companies to put out a bettor
grade <>f products. Pennsylvania is onci
of the first states in the Union in its
number of cow testing associations,
which are an effective alcl In breeding
and feeding work.

AG. SCHOOL TO PREPARE
“SHORT HORN” CATALOGUE
At a recent meeting of the enroll
ment committee of the School of Agri
culture means were considered to bring
the Short Courses of the school to the
attention of the fanners of the state.:
A catalogue of the courses will be pub-
lished. and tt special leaflet dealing
with the cremery courses will be pre-'
pared. As a further means of getting
men who would like to come to Penn
.State for the eight weeks course, ail
former “.Short Horns” will be requested
to aid in the enrolling of men fn their
vicinity who re interested.
Thirty-Third Year
The thrlt/-ihird year of the agricul-
tural short courses will begin January
fourth, when it is hoped to have at
least one hundred ami fifty men on
hand to take up the work. In spite of
the already crowded condition of the
college, every possible man who can be
accomodated will be permitted to en
roll in view of Hie service that can bo
so rendered to the men on the farms
of the state who are desirous of study
ing some special line of farm work
but who are not aide to spend two or
four years at college.
