All articles of uniform and equipment will he issued to students of the Advanced Course without the de posit required by the College. The uni form is required to be worn on drill days, but may be worn on other days. Course. The Advanced Course covers a period of two years. Once enrolled, the stud ent, must complete the two years un less excused by the Professor of Mili tary Science and Tactics with the ap proval of tlie President of the Col lege. Any student who satisfactorily completes the two years in the Advanc ed Course will be recommended to the ICar Department for a commission in the Reserve Otlleers* Corps. While tak ing this course the student will receive the following itt addition to his uni forms. C\ camp this summer have Uen commended very highly for tbo extremely creditable work that they accomplished at Camp Devons. A con tingent ir..m this institution has at tended every camp for students since the inception of Iho idea in 1.013 and tiiis year the Penn State group excell ed all previous records. The repre sentation was not as large ns was des ired only nineteen men attending, but 'despite the small number of students,. This comp any was given the highest elfirioncy rating by both the War Department and vamp authorities. The zeal and hearty cooperation of the men. their Spirit of team play which was felt throughout the entire company, was responsible for this excellent rating. C. camp was a great success and- Penn State students wrote her name high on the roll of home*. Naval ollicers of this and the other allied countries were enter tained at tiie Now York Yacht Club, but Army ollicers in New York during those trying days found hotels over crowded and themselves without a home to which they could go for suit able accommodations. Since tiie war the need hat? been oven more emphasized. While enlisted men have canteens, huts and clubhouses, the ollicers have boon without a place to go for meals, or lodgings, except the very expensive hotels. The mod erate pay of our military loaders lias made the cost of stopping at those liosteJries almost prohibitive. In the new clubhouse there wili ho at least -100 bedrooms. A large dor mitory furnished with cots will also he provided for use on special occas ions when the city is crowded with service men.
