MUSICAL CLUBS GIVE
SUCCESSFUL CONCERT
Tho mombers of the Oleo and Mando
lin Clubs Journeyed to Reading on Fri
day where thoy gave a concert on that
evening under the auspices of the
Ladies' Auxiliary and the Masons. The
concert was hold In the Orphoum
Theatre and a good crowd was In at
tondo:lea Tho Clubs worn assisted by
Miss Mary Dunham who gave several
well chosen loadings and .1' H. Lucas
'lO. and 7. D Laughroy 'lO, who put on
a most successful song and dance act.
Tho_members of the Clubs wore enter
tained at a dance which was hold after
the concert.
Great difficulty hoe been encountered
by the Oleo Club manager In securing
dates for this year and the Reading trip
was the only ono scheduled for the
Clubs. The 'varsity quartette however

The annual Commencement concert of
the Musical Clubs will bo held on Tues

BOOKS ARE RECEIVED
The campaign for books for the men
In the camp. and "over there" has been
very successful. Inasmuch as a largo
number of books hoe been received
Up to and including last Friday, 676
books had boon left at the college library
and of this number, 527 aro books of
fiction, travel, history, etc, while the
romalader are text-books.
later reports, however. Indicate that
there aro null about 275 books which
aro still to be brought to the library.
Of this latter number, all are text
books with the exception of about ten
or fifteen The campaign has not ac
tually closed, and anyone wishing to
donate any books may do so by leaving
them at the library
The Y. K. C. A. has also taken up
the work of securing books and maga
zines for the men who were assigned
hero by the government for special
industrial work. To this end, a request
hoe been made that anyone having suit
able magazines or books, the latter es
pecially along military lin., should
leave them at the Y. If, C. A. office

TO BE GREAT SUCCESS
The Junior Prom was hold In the
Armory het Friday evening from eight
