FIELDS OF ACTIVITY
Only One of Fifteen Former Managers
Now Engaged in Newspaper
Work
The results of an Investigation into
the piesent occupations of tho former
'Collegian" Business Managers shows
that there is only ono now engaged in
newspaper work In 1906 there were
three business managers making a
total of fifteen In the list there aro
four engineers, one teacher, ono news
papermen, one chemist, two agricultur
alists, three bushman men, one do
consul and tau unaccounted for The

their class banquet ut the Nittany Inn
on the evening of St. Patrick's Day.

FORESTERS RETURN FROM
ANNUAL WESTERN TRIP
The annual north-webtern trip of the
Penn State senior foresters was brought
to a close on Sunday, February 11,
when they returned home from Chicago
Tho trip started on January 24, and
lasted nearly three weeks, during which
time many of the principal cities of
Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin were
visited by-Mr O R. Croon, assistant
professor of forestry. mos in charge of
the trip and was accompanied by S
W. Areii, H. B Long, C B Davis, Wal
ter I:Ashbaugh, Frank Foltz.' Samuel
Corbin, and Walter Boyce, all senior
foresters.
Theoo eight men went directly from
hero to Toledo, Ohio, and from there
to Detroit. At Ann Arbor, Aitchison
tho eonior foresters of the University
of Michigan tendered the State men a
reception After visiting several of the
smaller cities of this section, the trip
was continued to armed Rapids. and
from there to Madison, Wisconsin, where
the United Staten Forest Producte•lab-

Convention Here" In Apri
The annual state convention of the
Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Prohibition
Association will be held nt Penn State
this yew. A.lllll 20 to 22 It is the plan
of the state committee to make the con
vention one of the latgest of its kind
over hold and at the present time efforts
are being put forth to here In atten
dance delegates from over, college in
Pennsylvania. Several men of nation
wide prominence in the prohibition
movement will address the convention
Among these is Professor Charles Scan
lon, ulto at the present time is serving
1111 genetal secretary of the tempomnee
committee of the Federal Council of
Churches. It Is probable that Dr D. I.
Colvin, president of the National Inter
: collegiate Prohibition Association, will
also be a speaker.
One of the main features of the con
vention will be the state oratorical con
test In which orators from tile different
branch associations in Pennsylvania will
compote for tho championship of the
State. A first prize of fifty dollars and
a second prize of Monty-five donors

two•beet orations.
Tho Penn State branch of the In
tercolleginto Prohibition Association will
hold a local oratorical contest the sec
ond week in March The winner of this
contest 0111 represent Penn State in the
sotto contest, hold at the time of the
state convention. Tile local contort is
open to anyone who desires to compete
and orations may he made upon any
