Assistant Managers Elected Under the new system of select ing managers greater results have been evidenced. A large amount of small detail work usually attend ed to by the three assistants has now been allotted to the numerous second assistants. After an exami nation to determine the experience and ability to write letters, the fol lowing first assistant managers have been elected: Football, Fisher 'l7, Hoffman ’l7 and Morris 'l7. Baseball, Fleming ’l6, Leibacher ’l6 and Towsen ’l6. Track, Jeffery T 6, Smith T 6 and Willard T 6. Basket Ball, Calderwell T 6, France ’l6 and Maltby T 6. The Basket System The lockers shared by two men in the gymnasium are to be divided by two wire baskets so that the ap parel of each man may be kept apart. These baskets have been ordered for some time but no defi nite delivery date has been secured. This system should prevent in a measure the spreading of skin dis eases, etc., and be a step forward in sanitation. The change will require some time to complete and the co-opera tion of those students concerned will be essential. Spanish Prize Awards The John W. White prizes of $lOO each for excellence in Spanish have been awarded to A. V. Bene lisha ’l6 and C. K. Hall T 6. The English prize of $lOO for Latin American students was awarded to A. R.
