AGRICULTURAL NOTES Work is progressing rapidly on the new Horticultural building. The contractor is endeavoring to have the first floor ready for occupancy at the opening of the se"ond semester of the present col lege yeas. Professor J. A. Felguson, head ot the department of forestry, will represent the Pennsylvania State College at the National Consetva don Congress to be held in Wash ington in November. Professor M. S. McDowell, head ot the drpartment of agricultural extension, will present a paper on "Extension Work in Agriculture" before the meeting ot the A. A. A. C. & E. S. at their annual meeting to be held at Washington in No vember. The class in agriculture referred to in a recent number of the Col legian, has been organized under favorable conditions at Lawsville Center, Susquehanna county. This class is being conducted as an ex perimental project of the School of Agriculture and Experimea Sta tion. If successful, other classes will probably be organized in dit- I erent parts of the state. C. G. Mcßride, 'll, county agent in Mercer county, is conducting practical demonstrations in apple packing. Dr Woods Hutchinson American magazine readers are getting interested in the cause and cure of many diseases about which they knew little until some of the new school physicans began taking their patients into their confidence. Among these new styled doctors is Dr. Woods Hutchinson, who is conducting a world-wide clinic and school of medicine for the sick, the near sick and the well in the col umns of our popular periodicals. He gained a well deserved fame few few years ago when he gath ered together the threads of scien tific facts about the treatment of tuberculosis and prescribed this "drug", fresh air, sunshine and abundant food. This "drug" he said would cure the sick, and would keep the well, with tubercular in clinations from getting sick Dr. Hutchinson will speak in the Auditorium next Saturday evening, under the auspices of the Y.
