A New Fraternity The local fraternity, Beta Alpha Sigma, has succeeded in obtaining a charter from the national frater nity, Pi Kappa Alpha. Pi Kappa Alpha was founded in Virginia, March 1, 1868. At present it has 36 active chapters and 26 alumni • • rhapters. The Penn 'State chapter will con stitute the Beta Alpha chapter and will compost*the thirty-seventh member of the organization. 'The installation will take place on the tenth and eleventh of Octo ber, and the following installation committee will have charge of the ceremony: S. W. McCaitc, New York City; R. H. Becker, New York Univer sity; G. W. Schmidt, Rutgers Col lege, F. T. Schermerhorn, Syracuse University. The ceremony will take place at the chapter house.
