Owing to the fact that ab sences will be incurred during this and next week due to the coming football trip to Philadelphia and the presidential election, it may be well for those who expect to incur ab sences to become acquainted with the provisions made concerning ex cuses for the same. ' The council of administration saw no reason why the special train should not leave on Friday morning, November 1, and return by Sunday morning, November 3, at 8 o’clock. Every student expecting to go to the game or to the class banquets should see his instructor before hand, regarding excuses which will depend upon the student class standing. The tickets used on the Athletic Association special train will be provided with a coupon which, upon being signed by the holder, signifies that such person attended the game, and this fact will be taken into con sideration by the instructor to whom it is shown. Students who do not travel on the special train, and, therefore, do not receive this coupon, should present some other satisfactory evidence of attendance at the game. Notice has been sent to all in structors by Dean Holmes suggest ing that they excuse all reasonable absences incurred by voters in going home to vote. It should be re membered in both cases that the excusing is done according to col lege regulations. This is done for the students’ welfare, and to guard against permitting anyone to ruin his chance of promotion by loss of two much time from class.
