Penn State there are numerous ex- amples of men sacrificing their spare moments in order to make conditions better for their class mates or for those who are to fol low. The proposed new bulletin board is a good idea. The detailed arrangements have all been made by a member of the class of 1912. In place of having our halls littered with scraps of paper that are un sightly and of little value to either the person placing the notice or to the possible readers, the new plan provides for a systematic and con densed form of information. By the use of the various divisions, persons desiring to know something of one particular nature can easily do so by going at once to that part of the board; and thus save the necessity of looking at all the oth- er various announcements when possibly the one they desire has been torn down by someone else or by the wind. Owing to the fact that financially the college is unable to aid in the many affairs that would better conditions in our midst, when an opportunity similar to the coming entertainment Satur- day evening is given us, it is cer tainly worthy of the support of the whole student body. New Business All sophomores Candidates. desiring co try for a place on the Busi ness Staff of the Penn State Col legian can hand their names at once to M. M. Grubbs, T 3, at the Alpha Kappa Delta House. The election will be held just previous to Commencement. Loyalty to In football season the the Team, varsity games are al- ways well attended and there are few people who at tend these games that do not come with the firm intention of seeing the whole contest. However in baseball season, in years past, the cheerleader has often had to ask a few fellows not to desert the team at the last inning. In both the Car negie Tech and the Susquehanna games the support given by the student body has been good. Nearly every person stayed until the last man was out in the last inning. Our college spirit has always been very loyal to our athletes, but if halt the spectators leave just before the close of the games on New Beaver Field, surely no greater wrong could be done. Cheering is a large factor in winning games. The early departure is just as noticeable when our team is abead by a few scores, as it is when we are behind. A very large percentage of our baseball games have been won or lost in the last few innings. New Assistant At the meeting Editor. of the Penn State Collegian Board, April 17, M. A. Krimmel, T 3, was elected Assistant Editor. Letters to the Last week it Editorial Staff, was stated in the columns of this paper that the Editorial Staff of the college weekly was always ready for criticisms and suggestions. It was stated that a letter from every man in college, who saw a serious mis take on our part, was particularly desired within the next two weeks. Thus far we have received a few letters with some excellent ideas in them and we desire to thank the writers for their trouble in answer ing the plea. Third Summer Session for Teachers.
