and McCleary were on bases, did
our triumph over Susquehanna re
sult. Although 'Kauffman pitched
a strong
, game the visitors could
not overcome the lead gained by
"Eddie's" timely hit. In the eight
and ninth innings Susquehanna
scored a pair of tallies, but "Pat"
Lynch really had the Selinsgrove
nine under his thumb all the time
In 1906 Susquehanna h 0 Mc-
Ilveen's team to a 3 to 0 score and
twb years ago they were only beat
en 2 to 0 with the reliable Skemp in
the bog.
"Bud" Kelly played the final
three innings of the recent game at
secand base; it was his first ap
pearance is a varsity struggle since
hit" injury at Fordham on April 14
and the popular second-sacker was
roundly applauded when he trotted
onto the field. .In his absence
Blythe and Bien hove been covering
the territory on both sides of second
base in excellent style.
A great game was expected with
Bucknell on iSaturday, especially
after the ten inning battle at Lewis
burg one month ago Tomnrrow
the annual game with the Alumni is
played and on Wednesday theivar
sity closes a successful season
against the All Class Nine. ,_
