A championship is never forgot
ten. In the course of the past week
State has acquired new honor
through the efforts of four men
when, as a result of their laborious
efforts, they downed Swarthmore
azfd gaipe4l the coveted champion
ship title of the Intercollegiate de
bating league of Pennsylvania. Three
'times has this feat been accompished
by a State debating team until now
the time seems opportune to take
some official action relat ye to be-
stowing some sign of ecognition
upon the men who are up olding the
classical standard of the college by
their splendid and educative work.
In the majority of lunivenities
throughout the country the varsity
f '
debaters are awarded some special
insignia, just as the athletic teams
are permitted to wear the college
