ployed by Mr. Thomas O'Brien at
Brawley, Cal. which as "Cyph"
goes 01 to say "is the garden spot
of the United States. where summer
sunshine and flowers prevail".
He is now engaged in making a
systematic study of the soil and
water supply on Mr. O'Brien:s land.
He advises anybody who con
' templates going out to that , section
of California to write to Mr. O'Brien
for particular And gereral informa
tion concerning the country.
In conclusion he states that since
he has been out in the wide, wide
world, the "Collegian" is appreciat
ed more than ever.
Sunday Band.. Concert.
The members of the Cadet and
Hare rehearsing a program for a , un

day afternoon concert. This is a
I new feature of the band work and is
thought to be something that will be
appreciated by the .students, faculty
and townspeople.
The concert will be given at 4 p.
m; next Sunday, April 17, on the
front campus if the weather permits.
