P IC;E SIX Perhaps he could co bine the du ties of secretary of the Alumni As sociation with that of b iness agent, of- the Student 13uildi4 some em ployment might also be found: for him on the-c - ollege staff. Above all we need a leader at once. Last year tne graduating class gave the first impetus to the enterprise by a gift of $lOOO. This is more progress than we ever made before in the undertaking. We must not allow the enthusiasm tp wane. We must strike while the iron is hot, and we must keep it hOt by striking. ' , Where will the leader be found ? Perhaps some suggestions from the alumni will help locate the proper Alumni Take Notice. "It is a self evident fact that Beg Pennsylvania State College is very much in need of a Social Hall or rGeneral Club House. It is also just 'as evident that such a Club House ,will not spring up of its own accord. "Eight years have elapsed since plans were drawn for a Social Hall to be located at State College, and in those eight years little or no prog ress has been recdrded. "Waiting apparently does not pro duce the desired result. Conse quently theie is but- one other way if Students, Faculty and Alumni feel that the need must be met. "Those who should cooperate are the Students, Faculty, Alumni and Trustees. The question of definite action with regard, to a Social Hall should be brought before the next regular meeting of the Alumni Asso ciation; and .an endeavor made to have a committee appointed by the Association to confer with commt tees from the Students, Faculty ai d Trustees on ways and means." 4Sigqxd] Alumni Secretary.
