Every indication points to the fact
that the New York and Philadelphia
Alumni associations will furnish the
remainder of the money necessary
to build the New Beaver Field base
ball grandstand The class of 1911
has pledged $2OOO for that purpose'
The freshman class ha§ promised
what remaips of the damage fund
for two yeaFs towardlan out of-doors
pool beside thel\iew Beaver Field.
The pool will be constructed with an
expanse of shallow water on two
sides so / that a large surface for
skating -will he had. Then Old
State can develop a hockey seven
that will undoubtedly be good, since
theiewill be plenty of opportunity
for practice , .
The Dead is Alive!
T leCollegian is in: receipt of a
letter from F. I. Woltz 'O9, stating
that he is very much alive at pres
ent instead of being , dead and bur
ied as noted in last week's issue of
the Collegian. We are very glad;
indeed, to learn that this is the case;
although we had information frorma
Chambersburg resident and a friend
of his that he really was dead. The
unfortunate person whose body was

accompamed by Mr. Postlethwaite,
was Mr. H. J. Bertschy, Lehigh 'lO,
who lived in Patterson. Mr. Woltz
is in { the transformer department of
the Wagner Electric Co. and lives
5882 Julian avenue, St Louis, Mo.
All competitive designs for the
cover of the Thespian Program
should be handed -to Ptiof. ,Frizzell,
; or to E. C. Turner, at the S. A. E.
House, on or before February 18th.
