Rentschler, who for sev eral years has been an efficient'in structor of chemistry, especially in qualitative analysis, has resigned his position and has accepted the posi tion as head chemist for the Scien tific Station of Pure Products, 21 Whitehall St., New York City. Some time before Christmas a very flattering offer was made Mr. Rentichler by the above-named com pany but he dill not accept until a l i)veek ago, and now he is busily en gaged in his new work. Mr. Rentschler was graduated from this institution, in, 1904, For a while he was employed by the Penn sylvania Railroad, but at the opening of the second ,semester in January, '1905 Mr. RentSchler accepted a po sition here as instructor in chemistry an he has indeed' filled this position ev r since in a most acceptable man ne . During the college year 1907- '1 Bhe went to Germany to take up advanced work at the University of Goettingen.
