at Perth Amboy, N. J. This plant
is owned by the Guggenheim’s of
New York. In Gloucester City, N.
J., the party saw the manufacture
of the Welsbach incandescent
mm ties from start to finish. Here
the paity met with a very cordial
reception, and, at the noon hour,
were given what the fellows consid
ered a banquet. • The A. G. I. Gas
Works at Pt. Breeze. Philadelphia
and the Whitall Tatum company at
Millville, N. J. were also visited.
At the latter place they were given
a banquet in the club house provided
for employees.
The party now went to Frankford,
Pennsylvania, where' they saw the
manufacture and purification of all
kinds of coal tar products in the
plant of the Barret Manufacturing
company. This is the largest estab
ment in the world which makes the
common camphor balls Baugh’s
Fertilizer works at Philadelphia were
also inspected.
One of the most interesting feat
ures of the trip was the visit
through the chemical laboratories
of Columbia University, where the
party received a most cordial recep
tion.
To climax the whole, Dr. Pond,
who met the party in Philadelphia,
according to his usual custom, ten
dered them with a luncheon at the
Hotel Hanover, Philadelphia, where
they had their headquarters. After
this they disbanded, having had
a most profitable and enjoyable trip,
said to be one of the most success
ful ever taken.

Whereas, God. in his infinite
wisdom, has seen fit to take from
our classmate F. Quevedo, his be
loved father:
Be it resolved, that we the mem
bers of the class of 1910 extend our
heartfelt sympathy to him 'in this
