Picture Scrap Rules.
1. The freshman photograph
must be taken by a professional
photographer in the interval between
the ending of the Thanksgiving va
cation and the beginning of examin-
ation week in January.
2 At least fifty per cent. of the
members of the class must be in the
official photograph taken.
3 If the sophomore class shall
prevent a photograph from being
taken by the official photographer
at the first attempt within the allotted
interval of time, they shall be award
ed the victory and no further efforts
shall be made by them to prevent a
second photograph from being taken.
4 The picture shall be taken
with one of the college buildings as
a background.
Mount Pleasant has been elected
Captain of Dickinson's next year's
football team. He is twenty-three
years old and a junior in the college.

COLLEGE NOTES.
An unexpected change of plans
make it necessary for Mr. William
L. Hall to postpone his lecture on
the "Conservation of Natural Re
sources" to December 18. Mr.
Hall was scheduled to lecture in the
Free Lecture course one week
earlier.
The Friday Club, an organization
composed of members of the
Faculty, upon disbanding a year ago
voted to turn over the balance of
the money in its treasury to the col
lege hospital. During the past week
a check was received from Mrs.
John Price Jackson for $21.31, rep
resenting this sum. It will be used
in purchasing needed equipment for
the sick rooms in the hospital.
In order to make the underclass
men in the electrical course feel that
they have a genuine interest in the
work of their department, the Elec
trical g, ngiwcring Society has de
cided to hold once a month a joint
meeting to which every man in the
department is invited. The first of
these will be held next Wednesday
evening, and a program has been
prepared which will be interesting to
every electrical. The time and place
of the meeting will be posted later.
$5O in Gold.
The local real estate dealers,
Leathers Brothers, are offering to
students an opportunity to earn
prizes of $25, $l5 or $lO in gold.
These prizes are offered for the
three best letters of from 100 to 150
words stating why real estate on the
Highlands of State College is a good
investment.
Details may be obtained by call
ing at their office, 116 College Ave.
Further particulars are also given on
the handbills which are being dis
tributed. The offer is a straight
business proposition, the only re
quirement being that the contestants
must be students and that before
writing the letters they shall call at
the real estate office for particulars
and stationery. The judges are to
be Prof. Agee, Prof. Ray, and H.
A. Leitzell.
Nominations for Assistant Baseball
Managers.
At an athletic meeting held Mon
day evening the following juniors
were nominated for assistant base
ball managers. Three are to be
chosen, and the election will be held
on Monday evening of next week.
