    LIBRARY NOTES.
The library has received a copy
of a newspaper dated 1800 which
contains an account of the death and
burial of George Washington. It is
the gift of C. Henry, 'O9.
The theses Of last year's graduat
ing class have been returned to the
library from the binders.
The Historians' History of the
World has been donated to the
library by Prof. Niederhauser.
This thoughtful and valuable gift
will be much appreciated by all who
use the library. These books will
shortly be placed in the reference
room.
A new steel book case has been
set up in the center of the engineer
ing alcove. This will allow a rear
rangement of the engineering
books and the addition of many new
ones. Two of the upstairs alcoves
in the west corner of the library
have been fitted up with new cases;
and one will be used exclusively for
works on Pennsylvania history, in
cluding many valuable books do
nated by General Beaver. The
other roo n will contain the patent
office reports from different coun
tries and a file of industrial cata
logues.
COLLEGE NOTES.
