Lecture by Dr. Robt. Ellis Thompson. The fourth lecture in the Free Lecture Course will he delivered in the Auditorium on Saturday evening, March 14, by President Robert Ellis Thompson, Ph. D., S. T. D., of the Central High School, of Philadelphia. The title of Dr. Thompson's lecture is "The History of the Home." Before assuming the presidency of the Central High School, which is the "city college" of Philadelphia, Dr. Thompson was for thirty years professor in the University of Pennsylvania. He has delivered courses of lectures at Yale, Harvard, and Princeton, and has won a reputation as a writer and lecturer on historical and economic subjects. Doors will be open at 7 30. The lecture will begin at b o'clock. A Crowded House. The Y. M. C. A. course closed last Friday night with one of the best entertainments heard here in a long while. A crowded house greeted Victor and his Venetian band and enjoyed the concert im mensely. Some of the most stir ring classics interspersed with light selections made up the splendid pro gram. Mrs. Wm. Keye Miller as sisted by rendering several vocal solos. The Y. M. C. A. is to be congratulated on offering a course like that of the past season. The competition for the position of freshman historian has resulted in the selection of Chas. F. Smyth, who will be class historian during the four years his class remains in college.
