    THE TOASTMASTER.
Production by the Thespians the
Best in Recent Years.
['he college dramatic club made a
decided hit last Friday evening in
the eleventh anniversary production,
a three act comedy entitled "The
Toastmaster." It is generally con
ceded that this season's show in
many respects far surpasses the play
given lsst year. A large and en
thusiastic audience greatly encour
aged the amateur actors.
To college people, the play was
particularly pleasing, for it vividly
presented the interesting complica
tions which resulted from a banquet
of underclassmen. Amusing situa
tions and comical experiences were
in order almost ever minute and the
entire production was found to be
very entertaining.
Judging from the hearty applause
at tne end of each act and from the
warm expressions of approval heard
on all sides, the efforts of the
various members of the cast were
crowned with success. The work
displayed by the old men was ex
cellent, while that of the new men,
several of whom had principal parts,
was of the same high standard.
Each man prortraved his part ad
mirably and, on the whole, the play
was very cleverly executed.
The college quartette and or
chestra added variety to the pro
gram by contributing a number of
selections in their usual excellent
manner
At Bellefonte, the Thespians were
greeted by a good sized audience.
Good staging facilities produced a
better effect and the people were
highly pleased with the entire per
formance. At Tyrone and Clear
field, they met with the usual suc
cess. The houses were well filled
with appreciative audiences at both
towns.
The senior class will meet tonight
at 6.30 in room 20 Eng. Bldg.
