    The Greater Pittsburg club's
reception held January 3 at the Con
servatory of Music ,was enjoyed by
many of the members and their
friends.
In all of these gatherings the same
thought, the thmight of Our Alma
Mater song, "Fol.• the Glory of Old
State," was uppermost, and these
gatherings can surely be productive
of only good results. -
The Death of Harry H. McCready.
On Saturday morning of last week
Harry H. McCready, 'lO,, left for
his home to be treated for appendi
citis, and on Tuesday morning word
was received at the college that the
necessary operatipn . had failed to
bring relief and that he had died on
Monday.
McCready's home was near New
Castle, Pa. He prepared for col
lege at the New Castle High School,
and entered here in the fall of 1906.
Since that time he has made many
friends by his genial disposition.
He — Wasa faithful - worker, holding
one of the Louise Carnegie scholar
ships during the_ present year, and
doing a, great deal of work aside
from his studies. His was a life
well lived.
