    relations between the colleges repre
sented. It is believed that Haver
ford, F. & M., and W. U. P. will
also enter teams. The new organi
zation starts under very favorable
conditions and should constitute an
important factor in the athletic
world.
Shungopavi's Magic.
Such a combination of wit,humor,
musical talent, and bewildering
magic nas seldom been presented in
one evening as Shungopavi and his
company furnished to a delighted
audience in the Auditorium last
Saturday evening. Leaving aside
his wonderful skill as a magician
this Indian medicine man is a very
pleasing entertainer. His recital of
the legends ana traditions of his
people on the sunbaked prairies of
Arizona was enough to hold the
close attention of each auditor.
Misses Munch and Senton added
greatly to the enjoyment of the
evening by a wide variety of vocal
and instrumental selections.
Reception to Short Course Students.
One of the most successful and
"rousing" events of the season
was the reception to the short
course students by the Agricultural
Society last Friday evening. The
Assembly hall in the new building
was turned over to square dances,
Virginia reels, stag and feasting.
It is said that a student earlier in the
evening having heard of the corn
ing "stag" inquired whether or not
the Elks were holding a convention.
On the contrary there were neither
Elks nor "dears" present but mere
ly lusty devotees of the soil who en
joyed themselves beyond mention.
J. I. Burrell, 'O6, has resigned his
position with Armor and Company,
St. Louis, to accept a more lucrative
one with the Dow Chemical com
pany, Midland, Mich.
Harry W. Montz, 'O7, is an in-
spector of construction work with
headquarters at Uniontown, Pa.
