A Letter From General Beaver. To the Alumni of P. S. C. : Fleming, 'o9,editor-in - chief of the Collegian, insists upon my sending you a word of greeting in this special alumni number. To say that Ido this gladly puts it mildly. However remiss in your allegiance to your Alma Mater you may be, be assured that she never forgets you. Those of you who have failed to in bibe "State's" modern spirit, by one or more visits, can realize noth ing of the enthusiasm and esprit de corps which now exists. In all de partments there is new life, new en ergy, new enthusiasm. The College cannot keep pace with its own growth. The enrollment to date exceeds 1050, not including the short course men who are not yet due. It is entirely safe to say that the total enrollment for the year will reach, if it does not exceed, 1200. Numbers, however, are the smallest part of our growth. Agriculture is being housed in a series of buildings which have no superior, all things considered, in the country. The department or Animal Nutrition, with its respira tion calorimeter, is not duplicated in the world. Engineering has scarce ly standing room. Alumni and other friends have provided a tern p orary building, however, into which a large amount of new equip ment, purchased and donated, will be installed for the department of Electrical Engineering and the upper floor devoted to drawing, the ac commodations for this purpose in the engineering building being com pletely - outgrown. In Mines and Metallurgy, we are building tempor arily, partly through the generosity of friends and partly by an appro priation by the Legigiature. When "MOTHER" DUNN'S GRUB AT W. T.
