On Saturday the Scrubs journeyed
to Altoona, where a well-fought
game was played with the team
representing the Altoona Athletic
Association. Both teams worked
hard, but neither was able to score.
During both halves State had the
better of the argument, allowing Al
toona but one first down. The for
ward pass and the onside kick were
used successfully, but each time
when our team got • within striking
distance of the goal, a fumble or a
mistaken play would cause the loss
of the ball. Brown at half and
Jones at fullback did well.
Following is the line-up of the Re
serves : center, Johnson (Capt.);
guards, Weigle and Hubbard;
tackles, Riddle and Estep: ends
Ayers and Hipple; quarterback,
Ludwig; halves. Brown and Maus
ser; fullback ; Jones, Wells.

Clyde Thompson, 'O4, a former
'varsity baseball star, recently sus
tained a compound fracture of his
leg in a runaway. He is now in the
hospital at Clearfield, Pa.
