On a field so muady and slippery
that fast work was next to impossi
ble, the Bellefonte Academy boys
broke even with the Kiskiminetas
Springs eleven on Monday afternoon
on Beaver Field. The former
showed superior work throughout,
although the condition of the field
placed both at a disadvantage.
Fumbles were frequent, while both
sides proved somewhat weak in de
fense. The forward pass was tried
successfully twice during the first
half. Lyon and Elsey starred for
Bellefonte in line work.
Both of the preparatory school
games played on Beaver Field this
season have been handicapped by
the small attendance. While a fairly
large number of Bellefonte sup
porters were along the side-lines,
little cheering was done. This was
a mistaxe on the part of the acade
my boys, since rousing s ipport
from the side-lines would have
helped materially at several critical
times.
