pleted.
Volume 16 of the Publications of
The Pennsylvania-German Society
has just been received at the Li
brary. It contains among other
papers the address of General
Beaver as President of the Associa
tion.
COLLEGE NOTES.
Most of Prof. Churchill's fourteen
months in Europe were spent at the
University of Gottingen. He took
three semesters of special work on
the Turpene series under Prof. Otto
Wallach.
H. H. Acheson, 'O9, has been
appointed captain and adjutant to
take the place of C. S. Buller who
resigned. F. F. Simon, 'O9, has
been advanced to the position .of
quartermaster.
Coach Fennell returned to the col
lege this week after an absence of
more than a week. E. G. Yeckley,
'O6, has been coaching the squad
during the past weetc.
F. E. Wilber, general secretary
of the Y. M. C. A., has resumed
his work again. He is slowly re
covering from a broken ankle, which
injury he received 'in a game of
baseball several weeks ago. With
Mr. Wilber in charge of the work,
we anticipate a successful year for
the AssOciation.
At a meeting of the senior class
held Monday evening, it was de
cided to hold the annual Thanks
giving dance on the evening of
Pennsylvania Day. Friday, Nov. 22.
The following committee was ap
pointed : Weigle, Caruthers, Ryan,
G. D. Dußarry and Gould.
A. H. Kautz, 'O5, is engaged in
railroad work, with headquarters at
1021 Union Station, Pittsburg.
G F. Merris, 'O7, is at present
located at Logansport, Ind., with
the Pennsylvania railroad.
