The last contest of the year be tween the Freshmen and Sopho mores will take place Saturday night at eight o'clock in the Auditorium. The subject of the contest is: Re solved, that United States Senators should be elected by direct vote of the people. For the Sophomores, Acheson, Gross, Hoffman, and Moore, alternate, will defend the negative; and for the Freshmen, Schnerr, McNary, Fisher, and Faust, alternate, will debate on the affirmative. Prof. F. L. Pattee will act as presiding officer and Dr. Runkle, Prof. Garver, and Prof. Whittemore as judges. Track News Arrangements have been complet ed with the Western University of Pennsylvania to hold a dual track meet at State during Commence ment week. This is a new departure in athletic relationships with W. U. P. and the event promises to be very interesting. Some exciting contests are expected this coming Satu••day, when the Lafayette track team meets State on Beaver Field.
