The Recent Debates Our varsity debating team was de feated by Dickinson College in the final debate of the Intel collegiate Debating League of Pennsylvania last Friday evening. The chapel or Franklin and Marshall college at Lancaster, Pa., was chosen as neutral ground for *he debate on the important question : "Resolved, That corporations engaged in for eign or interstate commerce should be licensed by the Federal Govern ment and subject to its supervision and control." Dickinson upheld the affirmative, while State had the negative. The large audience was much interested in the good points brought out by both sides. Our men deserve great credit for their untiring efforts in preparation fcr this debate and ate to be congratt, lated on the good impression they made. 'This debate makes the Dicl- - inson team champions of the league. The presiding officer was Prof. J. NI. On same evening State's second team deoated with the Juniata College team at Huntingdon on the same question. State's men were: C. E Myers, 'OB, W. R. Lams, 'lO, W. A. Haven, 'O9, and R. R. Dry 'OB.
