D<. Gill has continued the meet ings in' which he answers the Bib ical questions put to him by the students, and these meetings have always pioved of the greatest value. 1 ie statistics are : Total enrollment Total number classes PI ms are on foot to add largely to this enrollment before tne end of the college year, and between the prepa ration and the publishing of this re port several classes will be started. The plans for next year contemplate reaching she five hundred maik. A much needed feature is a full Bible reference library, funds for the pur chase of which are lacking. t JCIAL As is customary, the Association gave a reception to the entering class on tne evening of Sept. 14th in the ; rvimory. Addiesses weie made by General Beaver, Dr. Welsh, Coach ■Fennell and several of the students. It is estimated that over eight hun , tired were present A social held at .'1 ta"ksgiving in Room 529 pioved veiy pleasant to the large number who attended. The entertainment course as a .whole was the best ever given at Slate College, despite the disappoint ment at the cancellation or the last ’number. Why these entertainments are so poorly patronized by the Student body is a question most difficult to answer. Until larger and more suitable quar'ers are piovided, it will be im possible to equip a game room that •will be at all adequate, the present room being entirely too small If the room adjoining No. 277, which is at present unoccupied, could be secured for a secretary’s private proom and the parti ion between rooms No. 275 and 277 could be re- TTi'oVed, it would afford at least a temporary relief for the pre.,ent overcrowded condition. FINANCE ; As the books have not been audited as yet, no report can bemade THE STATE COLLEGIAN at this time as to the finances Of the Association. Such a report will be published later. Suffice to say tnat the Entertainment Coutse netted a rather meager sum, and one in no way commensurate with the cbatac ter ot the course. The large in crease in membership will undoubted • ly help the Association financially:- EQUIPMENT Library-- A number of books have been added, chiefly along the lines of Bible Study reference and the like, though several on Missions have been acquit ed. The Associa tion gratefully acknowledges the kindness of E’-of. Willard and otheis in loaning a number oi most usetul books.
