the marriage on March 1, of W. P.
Woodward, a former State st-dent,
and Miss Emma C. Millbank, of
Pittsburg.

The sophomore class of the Bos
ton Institute of Technology is con
sidering the idea of appealing to the
faculty to have the seats in the
physics lecture room upholstered. —

President Roosevelt is the fourth
graduate from Harvard University
to hold the chief executive office of
the country. John Adams 11785),
John Quincy Adams (1787), and R.
B. Hayes (1815) were the other
Harvard men who have filled this
office.
The honor system has been de
feated at Calitornia by the close
vote ot 557 to 522. The system
was refused three years ago by a
vote of two to one.
Princeton has but one pitcher of
her championship team in college,
and as yet Coach Doyle has been
unable to find any material.
